Paws for Hope

Over the month of August 2022 the staff at Carrington Group came together to support a animal rescue service in Alberta, Berkeley's Place. This incredible organization helps take the burden off of registered charity and non-profit rescues by assisting them with much-needed food and supplies. This allows for rescues to focus on keeping their finances for the more important things, like veterinary care for the animals.

We were excited to host Berkeley's Place, and some of the organizations they support to our office parking lot for a fun-filled afternoon of fund raising and food. A BBQ was hosted by Hope Builders, an employee-led fundraising initiative, to raise funds for the animal rescue society in exchange for a BBQ lunch, and some kitten and dog cuddles!

We learned about the amazing things these organizations do for our community - from rescuing and fostering stray dogs and working to reduce the number of feral cats in the community, to rehabilitating and fostering birds in need.

Our team came together to raise $1100 from the lunch, along with a table full of donated pet treats, pet food, and toys for rescued animals to have.
