1973 Ken's First Home
Ken Ferchoff builds his first home in Edmonton in a new community called Millwoods. Between 1973 and 1985 he built 65 homes under the name Reliable Homes.
1986 Carrington Villages
Carrington Villages starts developing, marketing and selling Adult Only Bungalows in Edmonton, AB and Phoenix, AZ, USA.
1988 Carrington Condos
Carrington builds it's first 4-story condo apartment in northeast Edmonton. Over 30 years later we are the leader in woodframe multi-family residential construction.
1996 Lifestyle Options
Lifestyle Options vision comes to a reality with the partnership between Renate Sainsbury and Ken Ferchoff to build and operate affordable apartments for seniors, pioneering the aging in place model in Edmonton, Alberta.
1999 Bedrock Homes
Bedrock Homes is established and builds its first show home in Eaux Clair. Today, Bedrock is an award-winning duplex, townhomes, and single-family builder in Metro Edmonton and Central Alberta.
2000 Interior Design Studio
Interior Design Studio starts offering professional interior design choices to customers purchasing a new home throughout CGC.
2001 Carrington Resorts
Carrington Resorts is established and expands into B.C., building recreational real estate in Sun Peaks, the Ridge at Silver Star Mountain, and eventually operating an award-winning golf course in Kelowna called Tower Ranch.
2005 Carrington Land
Carrington Land begins developing the northeast subdivision known as Schonsee.
2011 Changing Futures Foundation
Ken founded Changing Futures Foundation, a charitable organization intended to help marginalized individuals and families better their lives by giving them a hand up.
2012 Elements by Carrington
Elements by Carrington launches, building and selling affordably priced condo units throughout Edmonton.
2014 Awards of Excellence
Carrington takes home the CHBA-Edm Region Awards of Excellence Multi-Family Builder of the Year Award for the first time. We are proud to have been honored with this award again in 2015, 2018, 2019, and 2020.
